In September 2019, `Japan House`_ hosted a presentation by `SUGIHARA
Kokichi`_, inventor of many optical illusions realised as solid
objects. He had brought some examples, and I took pictures.

Four blue circles, and four heart shapes, but when seen from the other
side (here, through a plain mirror) it's a blue 4-pointed star and the
four suits of playing cards:

Nel settembre 2019, la `Japan House`_ ha organizzato una presentazione
di `SUGIHARA Kokichi`_, inventore di molte illusioni ottiche ottenute
tramite oggetti tridimensionali. Aveva portato alcuni esempi, e io ho
fatto foto.

Una freccia che punta sempre a destra:

.. raw:: html

 <video controls loop playsinline width="320" height="240">
 <source src="arrow.mp4" type="video/mp4">
 </video>

Vista dall'alto, si presenta così:

.. image:: arrow-from-above-t.jpg
 :target: arrow-from-above.jpg

.. image:: card-suits-plus-pointy-circles-t.jpg
 :target: card-suits-plus-pointy-circles.jpg

di lato sono così:

.. image:: card-suits-plus-pointy-circles-from-side-t.jpg
 :target: card-suits-plus-pointy-circles-from-side.jpg

Sei quadrati, o sei cerchi?

.. image:: square-circles-t.jpg
 :target: square-circles.jpg

di lato:

.. image:: square-circles-from-side-t.jpg
 :target: square-circles-from-side.jpg

.. image:: braid-and-nested-t.jpg
 :target: braid-and-nested.jpg

visti di lato:

.. image:: braid-and-nested-from-side-t.jpg
 :target: braid-and-nested-from-side.jpg

dettaglio dei cerchi concentrici / intersecati, dall'altro:

.. image:: nested-from-above-t.jpg
 :target: nested-from-above.jpg

.. image:: card-suits-plane-t.jpg
 :target: card-suits-plane.jpg

.. image:: fish-bone-t.jpg
 :target: fish-bone.jpg

.. image:: flower-pot-t.jpg
 :target: flower-pot.jpg

.. image:: slides-good-angle-t.jpg
 :target: slides-good-angle.jpg

apparentemente verso l'alto. Lo stesso oggetto, visto dalla parte
opposta, è così:

.. image:: slides-bad-angle-t.jpg
 :target: slides-bad-angle.jpg

e visto di lato:

.. image:: slides-from-side-t.jpg
 :target: slides-from-side.jpg
